It seems to have taken an age but Twitter has finally decided to let users view enlarged pictures directly on the page. Formerly you would be taken to another link and page if you clicked on a shared image or video. Now essentially this may seem like a minor tweek but it is a sign of the social media site’s continued commitment to increasing interest in sharing media on the site.
So far from being just about microblogging Twitter is branching out to become a more rounded site. This is surely a response to the recent strides made by Google+ who has surpassed Twitter in social media popularity in the past few months. Sites like Facebook and Google+ are both far more varied in content than Twitter, making it tough to compete.
