It would seem a court order blocking YouTube in Egypt for 30 days is being met with resistance. An Egyptian rights group and the country’s own telecommunication authority have both filed legal motions against a court ruling that would block the video sharing site in the country for 30 days. This ban is, of course, related to the now infamous anti-Muslim film and the promo video that YouTube refused to take off the site.
YouTube has since relented and blocked the video in question but the ruling was still made. Chances are, however, that this punishment will not be implemented as other similar court rulings have gone un-executed in the past.
