Rumors are circulating throughout the social media grapevine that Google may be planning a rival app to Apple’s iMessage. This conjecture is supported by a mysterious screen shot that appears to show a Google notification bar on Chrome OS. The indication is that possibly the company is set to release a messaging app through Google+ which could allow users to keep track of shares, messages and emails. It would also likely allow users to be notified on their PC of missed calls and text messages.
Obviously this rivals Apple’s iMessage especially as it would be available on several more platforms. As of yet there is no official confirmation but at the rate Google+ is progressing it is very likely true.
